Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 May 2026
GlobeChat is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no phone numbers, and no email. Your voice is never recorded. This page explains exactly what happens to the little information the app does handle.

Who we are

GlobeChat is a push-to-talk voice app. The app connects to a relay server at globechat-server.yuzi.nl, which passes live audio between people in the same channel. If you have a question about this policy, email hello@yuzi.nl.

What we collect

Your voice

Audio is captured only while you hold the talk button. It is sent in real time to the relay server, which forwards it to the other people in your channel and then discards it. Your voice is never recorded, stored, or written to disk on the server. There is no message history.

The relay server

To route audio, the server briefly sees the network connection details that every internet service sees, such as your IP address. This is used only to deliver packets and to limit abuse (for example, capping connections from a single address). It is held in memory for the life of your connection and is not stored in a database or used to profile you.

What we do not do

Permissions

GlobeChat asks for microphone access for one reason: so you can talk when you hold the button. If you decline, you can still listen but not speak.

On-device data

Your profile, plus anyone you mute or block, is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Children

GlobeChat hosts live, open voice channels and is not directed at children. It is rated for users 17 and older.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
